What we hold. What we don't.
We hold the minimum we need to sell you a manual and answer your email. We sell that data to no one. We do not run advertising on this site.
Who is the data controller
The Works Co. Limited (a UK company, in formation at the time of writing). Contact for any privacy question: hello@theworksco.co.uk. We are working through ICO registration; the number will be added to this page when issued.
What we hold and why
Contact form submissions. Your name, your email address, the message you wrote. Why: so we can answer you. Held: until the conversation is closed, then for two years for our own reference, then deleted.
Purchases. The email address you bought with, and a record that the purchase happened. Why: to send you the bundle and any future updates, and to honour a refund if you request one. Held: as long as your account is active, or seven years for accounting purposes, whichever is longer.
Payment data. We never see your card details. They go from you to Stripe to your bank. We hold a Stripe reference and the amount. Not the card number, expiry, or CVC.
Who else sees the data
Formspree receives contact form submissions and forwards them to our inbox.
SendOwl processes the purchase and serves the download.
Stripe processes the card payment.
Google Workspace holds our email.
No one else. We do not sell, swap, or otherwise share buyer data with third parties.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for: a copy of everything we hold about you, correction of anything that is wrong, deletion of everything we don't need to keep for tax purposes, and to take what we hold to another publisher. All free of charge. We respond within thirty days. Write to hello@theworksco.co.uk.
If you think we have mishandled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

This website does not set cookies. Our checkout (SendOwl + Stripe) sets essential cookies during the purchase flow. Full detail at /cookies.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the most recent version stays here. If anything material changes, we will note it at the top of the page and email all buyers.
